Who is Who
I originally opened the nursery in my home in 1989. After many happy years and many happy children, I re-located to Smeeth CP School in September 2020, just a short walk down the hill from my original site. I am passionate about outdoor learning and want to inspire children to appreciate nature and all that is beautiful in the natural world around them. I still love my job after all these years and gain immense job satisfaction from watching children in my care, develop and learn. I am a qualified Nursery Nurse, and also hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years Studies with Early Years Professional/Teacher Status.
Deputy Manager. Forest School Leader. Nursery Practitioner
I am the Deputy Manager at Rising Fives. I started my career at Rising Fives as a student, over a decade ago! In that time, I attained my Level 3 Childcare, Learning and Development qualification along with a Level 3 Forest School Leadership qualification and have also attended Leadership and Management training for Early Years Leaders. I am very passionate about the early years and outdoor learning, I strongly believe children should be connecting to the natural world, engaging with the environment and managing risks for themselves. I love my job and have countless happy memories of the children and the families I have worked with. In my free time I enjoy (you guessed it) being outdoors, walking my dog Pepper and fishing the local lakes and rivers.
Nursery Practitioner. SENCO
I am married with two children, both of which loved the Rising Fives experience. I have worked in the nursery since 2008 and hold a level 3 qualification in Childcare, Learning and Development. I’m the nursery SENCO and am passionate about helping all children to reach their potential.
I have two daughters; both have attended Rising Fives and had the most wonderful experience. With my youngest daughter now at school I have been lucky enough to join the Rising Fives team at Smeeth School.
