Year 1 2023/24
What a lovely group of children the year 1's have been! They have embraced everything the wet and cold British winter could offer and now we welcome the warmer dryer days of Spring and early Summer. The children endlessly cook up amazing meals in the mud kitchen, taking time out for a quick bug hunt now the warmer weather is upon us. Discovering who/what else uses our dig pit was a highlight, suggestions from dinosaurs to Ms Paynes dog were offered, but we settled on a squirrel and one of the neighbours cats.
As the summer term continues we will be noticing how our Forest School changes and how we are joined by many more mini-beasts both crawling and flying. This will lead to us playing and learning all about our pollinators and how important they are for nature.
