The girls football team put on some excellent performances in front of Phoebe's Ash the Friendly Tree at Ashford Utd’s Homelands ground. The team spirit, improvement in game strategy and overall play was obvious on the day.

The group stage began with an unfortunate defeat, where we were definitely worthy of a draw. This was followed by a spirited victory with a wonder strike from Mollie and a masterclass of goalkeeping by Mercie. Meaning we finished second in the group and we had made the semifinals.

We played a great game against the eventual tournament winners, and created enough chances to give them a scare.

Overall, a brilliant performance girls. Well done.
