  • Staff INSET

    Fri 14 Feb 2020
The staff had a training day to further develop the outdoor learning curriculum within the school. Look out for the impact in classes over the coming terms.
  • Dodgeball

    Tue 04 Feb 2020
Six representatives proudly tried their hardest and did well in the Dodgeball tournament, earning a draw against near neighbours Mersham setting us off nicely. Unfortunately the following results did not match our endeavour but the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
  • Boccia Bowlers

    Mon 13 Jan 2020
A team of determined but positive bowlers took part in the first sporting event of the term. We had two teams who both bowled well and won games, with true sportsmanship. Lucas, Alfie and Charlotte came joint second in their group, and Chloe, Ella and Aaron were one 'leg' away from coming joint top in their group!
  • Carol Concert

    Fri 13 Dec 2019

A week of performances has shown the amount of effort and talent at Smeeth School. Firstly, Years 1-3 performed Lights, Camel, Action to a packed house with their Christmassy version of Strictly Come Dancing, which included among the many wonderful performances a pair of young singers delighting the audience's hearts.

This was followed by the Reception Nativity, where the stars of the show were all four years old or just five, and included a soloist and a cameo from a Dilly the pony to deliver Mary to the stage. All of the Reception children performed way beyond their years and produced one of the best Nativities Mrs Fineman has ever seen.

At the end of the week, this was all rounded off by a whole school Carol Concert where the Year 6s delighted the audience with their candle lit version of Turn Down the Lights, as well as a rousing whole community sing-a-long of I Wish Every Day Could Be Christmas.

  • Year 5/6 Dodgeball

    Thu 28 Nov 2019

Six determined students competed and performed well at the Dodgeball event, and after a friendly match victory they finished their group games with a convincing 5-1 win.

Both Siennas were very good at staying in the game, and Hayden was our catching champion. Harry was the cool touch, Alfie the calculating planner and Lily became a throwing sensation.
