The school enjoyed a wonderful Spring Service with lots of happy parents this morning. They had been prepared by Mrs Fineman with lots of classic tunes, which the children sung out proud.

  • Playground News

    Mon 11 Mar 2019

With the help of the School Council, a fantastic amount of new varied playground equipment has arrived and is being used (not abused!) on the playground. All the children can find something fun to play with.

The new equipment includes a Giant Snakes & Ladders board, Giant Tower Blocks, Quoits and various sized balls for different games.

The children are learning new skills and discovering talents they didn't even know they had!

  • Swattenden Residential

    Thu 07 Mar 2019

The children had a great time on day one. After a good journey and a very warming jacket potato lunch with a variety of fillings, we got stuck into our first activities.

There was fun to be had at the archery, making rafts, scaling the climbing wall and completing the HAB. The children all braved the activities and most came away having climbed higher or doing more than they thought they would but all with smiles on their faces.

The children entertained themselves with Dobble, photosticks, hair dressing and even hide and seek within their dormitories! Which meant we could save the games room until the second night!

Some great pictures of our first day can be viewed in our 'Eagles Class' section by clicking on the link below:

  • New News Story - Year 3 and 4 Dodgeball Tournament

    Wed 03 Oct 2018

Some very eager Smeeth Dodgers took part in a friendly Dodgeball competition at the Towers School on Tuesday 2nd October. Despite the crowded and hot environment, the players all had fun and represented the school brilliantly with their behaviour and sportsmanship.

We got off to a great start winning our first game with four of our players still 'in' at the end. However, after that we came up against some very good teams. Lucas played well throughout, catching two people out in one game, ably supported by Dylan and Milo. Dylan was our only player still 'in' at the end of any of the other games, so well done.

The girls were great, maturely deciding who would be sub in each of the games; an excellent example of teamwork. Ava-Lula lasted a long time in several games, keeping our team in the game. Evie was almost dancing as she dodged the balls, with Lily and Storm firing the balls back at the opposition.
